Red Cross for Future Survival

“Use your heart to save the dying world.”

This was the challenge posed by Agnes Esquerra, Red Cross Youth (RCY), Pasay City Chapter, Community Service Representative (CSR) keynote speaker, during the Red Cross Youth (RCY) Investiture from Kinder to Grade Six students at Juan Sumulong Elementary Schoool (JSES) Covered Court, January 25, 2019

“As the cream of the crops of your repective schools and molded by godly idealism, you would become a potent force that could save and change the destiny of your country,” Esquerra said.

The speaker described how Red Cross helps when a disaster threatens or strikes, RC provides shelter, food, health and mental health services (Psychological First Aid) to address basic human needs, the core of Red Cross disaster relief is assistance to individuals and families to enable them to resume their normal daily activities.

“Let us then, hand in hand work, save people, for if we are not going to save them, who would? And if we are not going to act now, when is the right time?”

Juan Sumulong ELementary School conducted its Investiture for the pupils who are members of the Philippine Red Cross Youth on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the school campus. Led by Mr. Champ Norman Posadas, the program was held successfully with the support of Juan Sumulong teachers, Boys Scouts, SPG officers, and GPTA.
