JSES joins 18th National BSP Jamboree
The 18th NSJ was officially opened by the newly-inducted Chief Scout of the Boy Scout of the Philippines himself, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. at the Grand Arena grounds of Camp Pintados de Passi Barangay Sablogon, Passi City, Iloilo on December 11-17, 2023.
Attendees from Juan Sumulong Elementary School were Sctr. Noel F. Junio, together with Sctr. Crispin Escartin, Sctr. Frances Esplana, Scout Sherlock Roda of 5- Franklin, and Scout Jireh Zoey Sumagaysay of 5- Aristotle.
The theme of the Jamboree is “ Youth Engagement : Sustaining Relevance and Strengthening Resilience,” representing the willingness to accept young people’s ideas and opinions, and create an opportunity for them to make their Jamboree dreams come true.
“Scouting reminds us not only of the continued importance of it, but also of the enduring legacy and to inspire our young people to become active and productive members of society. To have developed discipline on how to survive in every situation, especially in struggling situations,” Junio said.
