Juan Sumulong Elementary School, Pasay – As part of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council’s (NDRRMC) program, the JSES held its Earthquake drill which started as Sirent went off at 2 P.M.. The event was led by DRRMC coordinator Mr. Alexander D. Gorospe and his assistant Mr. Conrado Masalunga Jr.. It was participated by all of the students, teaching and non-teaching personnel.
The event was supported also by the barangay officials led by the barangay 132 captain Zaldo and GPTA officers led by the president Mrs. Glody Nuñez.
The said event was followed by an evaluation conducted by the Mr. Gorospe to ensure saftey standards were followed. The pupils were also kept reminded with the ‘Duck, Cover and Hold procedure and were demonstrated by how to practice it when an earthquake arrives.
The DRRMC department continues to conduct this program for the whole year. This is the first of the fourth earthquake drill for the first quarter of the year 2019.
