 Juan Sumulong Elementary School-Pasay CIty  (February 5, 2020) – JSES conducted a session on the awareness of the 2019 Novel Corona Virus (NcoV). The session was spearheaded by the school nurse, Mr. Lloyd Christian Sy. It was attended by the JSES learners and also the GPTA officers.

Discussed in the session were the important things on how this virus can transfer to infect other people and also how to prevent the spread of the said virus.

It is important to always wash or disinfect the hands and eat nutritious foods like fruits and vegetables which are reach in vitamin C. It was also mentioned that the appropriate face mask is the surgical mask or N95 mask to have better protection from inhaling the droplets of the virus. Face mask made of fabric is not advisable to use.

The 2019 Novel Cornona Virus started its outbreak in China which then was spread around the world including the Philippines after confirming 3 cases. The Philippine government including the Department of Education are in action to help prevent spread of this virus.
