JSES Boy Scouts participate in the Overnight Encampment
March 7, 2020 – Once again, the Boys Scout learners of JSES did not just enjoy their overnight encampment but also learned so many useful things for their life. Led by the Boy Scout coordinator, Dorie V. Mago and the scouting committee, the said event has started on March 6, 2020 at 1:00 PM inside the school covered court. After they were grouped into patrols, they proceeded to bases where they would learn things about Boy Scout Advancement, Flag Folding, Rope Knots, First Aid, Emergency Response.
The event ended on Saturday, March 7 in the early morning with a closing ceremony at 6:30AM. The Scouts received certificates and Merit Badges – Filipino Heritage, Citizenship in the Community. Mrs. Mago has also let the scouts apply for advancement to earn higher rank.
School Overnight encampment has been an annual activity of the school. This will be the first immersion of the learners in scouting activity inside the school after the Investiture. There will be a council-wide jamborette and region-wide jamboree this March and April.
